CAN THE RED DEVILS BOUNCE BACK?

Belgium with a must needed win to remain in the 2024 Euro Cup began the game against Romania without any points. They had a shocking loss from the hands of Slovakia in game 1 of Group E. Without any hesitation the Red Devils started strong and asserted their dominance. Having a lineup of 4-2-3-1, Belgium created many opportunities in the first half. In the second minute Youri Tielemans scored the first goal; with an assist from Romelu Lukaku. This goal marks the third fastest goal in Euro Cup history. Belgium went into the locker room in the lead 1-0. As the second half began Romania did make it difficult for Belgium. Romania created many chances and was having a strong defense. Lukaku had a big chance in the 63rd minute yet it was disallowed for offsides. In the 80th minute Kevin De Bruyne netted the 2nd goal for the Red Devils after receiving a direct kick from goalie Koen Casteels. Belgium left Cologne with a much needed 2-0 win over Romania.
